AsciLab have announced their will be a 'pre-order' period which ends on the 31st December 2025.

Within this period the price of a pair of C8C in the standard colours, matt white and matt black will be £4500.00 which included vat and delivery.

In the New Year the price will rise to £5k per pair again including vat and delivery.

AsciLab have manufactured a dedicated sub-bass module for the C8C, the BX8C.

The BX8C offers a scaleable path for larger rooms, higher Sound Pressure Levels and even greater bass extension.

2-Way Active DSP Cardioid Bass Extension Module,

4 X 8" Aluminium Long Throw Sub-Woofers,

Bass alignment, sealed.

A complex variable crossover 100-300Hz,

Amplification, 250W for front sub-woofers drivers and 250W for rear sub-woofers.

Main Features,

Cardioid directivity extended down to 50Hz, this is not merely deeper bass it is deeper directivity control, reducing the impact of front wall reflections and room modes in the region where room interaction is most harmful.

Deeply controlled vertical directivity helping reduce colouration from floor and ceiling reflections.

True full-range low frequency extension, C8C + BX8C delivers bass extension down to F3 at 28Hz ( thats anechoic -3DB your will increase that bass extension and headroom).

The BX8C adds +9DB of additional bass headroom across the 20-200 Hz region.

Further reduction of mid-woofer non-linearity, with the front sub-woofers handling a greater share of the low frequency workload the mid-woofers operate with much less excursion.

Keeping the drivers within their linear range, reducing IMD ( inter modulation distortion ).

The BX8c is not just a sub-woofer that adds more bass, it is an intelligent expansion module that extends cardioid directivity down to 50Hz, completely full-range bass and up to an additional 9dB of low frequency extension, further reducing mid driver IMD.
