ASCILAB ( Acoustic Science Laboratory ) have just released the the final renderings of their A6B Passive version, the crossover components will be attached to a smart aluminium rear plate .

Purifi 6.5" Aluminium woofer, 2x Purifi passive radiators ( visible on the sides of the loudspeaker ) and a heavily modified SB Acoustics 1" ceramic tweeter in a custom designed waveguide.
Measurements are out of sight, overtaking March Audio's 'Sointuva' ( they share the Purifi drivers) as top of the passive pile, and much cheaper too!
After twenty years I have become pretty jaundiced when it comes to audio but these promise to really special.
A three way design again using Purifi drivers is in the pipeline, fyi Bruno Putzeys is one of the engineers behind Purifi.

Delivery of the first ASCILABS speakers are expected next month, which will include the A6B Active version.
