The 8C's are hugely impressive, all Kiis are out on dem but as soon as a pair return I will compare Kiis and 8Cs.
Anecdotally and purely from 'memory' ( which is hardly valid ) the 8C's appear perhaps to have more 'body', bass is really excellent, resolution is superb, 'Adele' has never sounded more real or more accurately defined in an acoustic space.

Martijn from Dutch & Dutch recommends close placement ro the rearwall for optimum cardiod bass performance
Rearranged the room, set the correct parameters in the 8cs 'app' measurements are spectacular!

The above graph shows the Kiis plot and the 8Cs plots overlaid, both speakers in exactly the same position, extremely similar !

The 8cs have their own custom designed stands courtesy of 'Custom design' and they are sounding fabulous, placed 20cm from the rear wall and with 70cm of free space either side, measured and subjective performance are both exemplary, if you really want to hear what your music should sound like then call or email.

More about the 8C,
The 8c is a minimum-phase design, just like the Kii Three and the Grimm LS1. This is the best way to deal with phase.
The depth in a soundstage to a large extent is messed up by early front-wall reflections. With conventional speakers you'll usually move the speakers far out into the room, to decrease the level of the reflections and increase their delay time relative to the direct sound. This tends to improve perceived depth and transparency. With a cardioid speaker hardly any sound travels to the front-wall, so the wall has no detrimental effect on perceived depth. An important aspect that is not taken into account, is that what we see to a large extent influences what we hear. If you see a wall right behind the speakers, you might be biased to hear less depth.
The front wall reflection can also be used to increase the depth in the soundstage, by employing a omnipole or dipole speakers. You are adding an artificial 'depth-sauce' to everything you play back, but I have to say it can quite nice.
